Trivex lenses, which rival polycarbonate lenses as the safest lenses on the market, are made of an exceptionally clear, lightweight lens material, which translates into excellent all-day wearing comfort. High-index lenses are made of a special plastic material that makes eyeglasses thinner and lighter. They have a higher refractive index than regular glass or plastic lenses, so they bend light more efficiently.
