Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance providers do you accept?
We accept a variety of insurances like Vsp, Eyemed, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Superior Vision, and many more. However, it’s always best to ask us if we take yours since our roster of partner providers can change from time to time. Call us to check and see if we take yours!
If insurance doesn’t cover your services and products, do you offer alternative payment plans and financing options?
We take CareCredit and allow patients to initially pay half the cost of getting their glasses.
What’s the difference between vision insurance and medical insurance?
Vision insurance covers eye exams and prescription lenses, while medical insurance only covers exams for patients with underlying medical conditions that may affect their vision. At this time, we cannot bill out medical insurance.
Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
At this time, we do not take Medicare or the red and white Medicaid card.
Does my insurance cover both glasses and contacts?
All insurance plans cover only one or the other. After your exam, your optician can help you decide which is best to bill to insurance.
How often am I eligible for an eye exam and prescription glasses?
Most insurances cover annual eye exams but not a new pair of glasses yearly. You can ask us directly, and we’ll review your plan to let you know if you are eligible and discuss this with you during your next appointment.
I have two different insurance plans. Can I use both to cover the full cost of my glasses?
Unfortunately, you cannot bill a single order to two different plans.
